St Albans – Permanent - £25-30k (starting salary)

Providing full and effective Recruitment & HR support directly to the heart of our business, will be what drives you to succeed

  • A key part of the role will be to leading our recruitment campaigns and strategies and to attract high-calibre individuals within specified deadlines

    • managing recruitment processes, including creating adverts, head-hunting, reviewing applications and conducting telephone interviews

  • Delivering flexible, generalist HR Advice and support, to ensure both our ABAers and our HR strategies are aligned with business needs and values

    • Updating and developing new initiatives, policies and processes which contribute to the achievement of business deliverables

    • Driving best practice and ensuring compliance with policies, processes and current employment legislation

    • Managing employee relations matters – from absence management and parental leave to grievances and re-structures – ensuring fairness and consistency

    • Supporting the development of a performance maximising culture, leading employee performance management and capability-related casework

    • Ensuring we deliver on our learning and development agenda by assessing and fulfilling training needs

    • Working with our HRIS –maximising its potential to create regular and ad hoc reports to inform management decisions

We’re seeking a combination of ability, adaptability and potential

  • Ideal role for those with previous recruitment experience with a desire to develop within HR, or those with dual HR & recruitment involvement

  • Confident relationship management skills demonstrating you can listen, be discreet or be influential as appropriate

  • Commitment to provide accurate, professional and timely information with clear attention to detail

  • Preferably part or newly CIPD qualified with experience in HR – although this is not a pre-requisite if you have the right skills

  • Solid IT skills in Microsoft packages, especially Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to write clearly and concisely

  • Capacity to execute multiple tasks and projects – prioritising effectively

  • Capacity to learn quickly and keep pace within a small team

  • Clear, logical thinking with strong analytical skills

  • Competitive starting salary of up to £25,000-£30,000 depending on experience
