The skill we’ve honed over the years is to review shop-fits on 2 dimensions: the strategic level where we consider how a design will affect competitive positioning, and then at an ergonomic level where we focus on every detail that may deter or encourage purchasing.
Both of these dimensions are more challenging if, as is increasingly the case, a shop-fit has to work across international boundaries, but this is something for which ABA is also becoming renowned.
John Lewis is a good example of a retailer who has trusted us with their shop-fit analysis, and we have worked with them for 4 years in refining every new store opened, including their home-only format.
